Sea Salt & Sugar Scrub

by Lynn Lilly, Mar 07 2015

My hands have been extra dry this winter. I have tried a million different lotions and nothing worked. I was experimenting with all natural ingredients and came up with a scrub that has been keeping my hands baby soft!

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup coarse sea salt
  • 1/2 cup organic sugar
  • 4 tbsp raw honey softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil softened
  • 6 ounce class jar with a lid
Directions:
  1. Soften coconut oil and raw honey in the microwave for 20 seconds.
  2. Mix coconut oil and raw honey together until blended
  3. Combine sugar and coarse sea salt
  4. Add lemon juice to the sugar and sea salt mixture. Mix until it is crumbly.
  5. Combine the honey/coconut oil mixture with the salt/sugar/lemon juice. Stir until thoroughly mixed.
  6. Pour in a glass jar and seal with a lid.
Use: Rub all over hand for 30-60 seconds and rinse with warm water. Repeat 2-3 times per week.
Enjoy your baby soft hands!

How long does this sugar scrub last? Since it has fresh lemon juice, didn’t know if it needs to be used within a couple weeks, or if it can last months. Looking forward to giving this as daycare Valentine’s gifts this year! :)

Will this go bad / does it have an “expiration” date?
