DIY Foot Soak

by Lynn Lilly, May 06 2015

This foot soak recipe is going to become your new best friend! It is easy, makes a great gift and will provide hours of relaxation!

Ingredients (makes enough for 15-16 soaks)

  • 1 cup sea salt
  • 1 cup epson salt
  • 2 cups baking soda
  • 12-15 drops of essential oils

Directions:

  1. Combine the sea salt, epson salt and baking soda. Mix well so all ingredients are distributed evenly
  2. Add 12-15 drops of peppermint essential oil. Mix ingredients to evenly distribute the oil
  3. Store in a glass air tight container

When you are ready to use add 1/4 cup of the mixture to a bowl of hot water (make sure your feet can stand the temperature) and soak for 15- 60 minutes.  After your soak is complete make sure to moisturize your feet.

Why use epson salt? It will boost your magnesium intake (most of us our deficient), ease stress, improve sleep, reduce inflammation, reduce muscle pain, flush toxins, is helpful during illness and can clear congestion. Why use baking soda? It will get rid of foot odor and fungus plus exfoliate dry, stressed skin.

Enjoy! xoxo- LL
