As a child of the 80's/90's I grew up reading every American Girl book I could get my hands on. I got lost in the tails of Molly, Samantha, and Addy. When my parents gifted me my first every American Girl Doll I was in awe. I loved my Samantha doll and still, love the magic she brought to my childhood. I have dreamed of the day I could start introducing my sweet Lily to the magic of American Girl. She is a tad bit young but she does love to play with dolls and she was in awe of her first truly me doll!
Over the years I watched the American Girl brand grow and expand to create dolls and magical stories that every girl can relate to. I was so excited for the brand new Truly Me dolls, which allows you to select features that look just like you/your kiddo. To be able to give a girl a doll that represents her individuality is so special.
As I mentioned Lily is a little young but I picked out the features that I think will represent her as she gets a little older.
As I pulled the Truly Me doll out of the box I couldn't believe the realistic features and how pretty she was!
In addition to so many options for the perfect doll, American call now has every accessory you could ever imagine. The magic is definitely in the details. As I was setting up the pool, Camp American Girl Hangout, campfire set, and outdoor games I was amazed by all the little details. From the light up campfire to the visuals in the mini books, polaroid to games like cornhole and tic tac toe that you can actually plan and even a mini inflatable unicorn float I caught my inner little girl getting so excited!
Lily had so much fun exploring all the set-ups and making friends with her new doll. Moms, keep in mind this is meant for children 8 and up so don't leave a toddler unattended as there are choking hazards. This was a fun afternoon of me and Lily playing together and me getting to escape back to my childhood through her eyes.
