National DIY DAY Ambassador | The Handy Homegirl | Atlanta, GA
The Handy Homegirl is a fun DIY, home decor and lifestyle destination where creators can find tutorials and motivation to create the life they love. I started this blog because, like most people, I had caviar taste with a ramen noodle budget and I wanted share with people how I created furniture and designed my home on a modest budget.
The most challenging part of running a creative blog is being consistent with updating content.

Can you tell us your biggest craft fail?
I was creating vase wall art and like a dumb dumb I was holding the vases by string, that wasn't secured yet, walking around the house looking for scissors and you guessed it. The vases fell off and shattered all over the floor. #epicfail
What is one piece of advice would you give someone wanting to start a blog or creative business:
If you want to start a blog or a creative business be like Nike and just do it. Committing to creating your own business is the hardest part.
Where do you get your creative inspiration?
I get creative inspiration from random thrifting trips and Pinterest!
What are you most excited about for National DIY DAY?
I am super excited to meet more creators and create together.
In 5 years, what is your goal for you and your blog?
In 5 years, I hope to be working with the brands I love and hosting a DIY segment on television or online network.
Please share with us a fun fact about yourself:
