National DIY DAY Ambassador | Wishahmon | Calgary, Alberta
Wishahmon started off as my wedding planning company blog. After I had my daughter, I revamped my website to a lifestyle blog featuring DIYs for kids. My blog now features quick DIYs for busy moms to really cool DIYs that all kids would want.
The most challenging is taking good pictures and remembering to document all the steps to a DIY.
Please share your favorite creative quote:
“You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have” - Maya Angelou

Can you tell us your biggest craft fail?
It really ranges from the crafts that don't get finished, don't work out, or my daughter doesn't like or appreciate, such as the so called "calm down jars."
What is one piece of advice would you give someone wanting to start a blog or creative business:
Just start. Never wait to be ready. You will never be ready.
Where do you get your creative inspiration?
Inspiration comes from all the stuff my daughter likes that is overpriced and I think I can make myself.
What are you most excited about for National DIY DAY?
I get people crafting again! Everyone buys so much stuff these days and spends their time in front of electronics. I want to inspire people to make things with their hands again!
In 5 years, what is your goal for you and your blog?
To become an inspirational blog to all the DIY moms out there.
Please share with us a fun fact about yourself:
I love potatoes in every form. So much that I thought about having a tattoo of one. I just haven't figured out where on my body yet, and what type of potato.
