6 Mason Jar Meals

by Lynn Lilly, Mar 14 2016

It is no secret that I live and die by mason jars. Mason jars are traditionally used for canning but are now more commonly seen as party decor, vases, dessert containers and cocktail glasses. I am a huge fan of packing lunches and snacks in mason jars. It works out well for my crazy schedule to have a jar in my bag ready and waiting as a snack. Tie a spoon or fork to the outside so it super easy to eat in a pinch. Check a few of my favorite yummy combinations below.

Caprese Salad: Cherry tomatoes, basil, mozzarella, spinach and store balsamic dressing in a plastic sandwich bag at the top of the jar.

7 Layer Snack Dip: Refried beans, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, pico, tomatoes, cheese. Make a second jar with your dippers. I like fritos!

Parfait: Berries, granola, low fat yogurt

Baked Potato: Cooked baked potato smashed, shredded cheese, sour cream, chives and bacon

Brownie Delight: Brownie, cool whip, strawberries, sprinkles

Pizza Dip: Naan Flatbread, pizza sauce, basil, cheese, additional toppings (pepperoni)

Enjoy!
