3 Easy DIY No Sew Sweater Crafts

It is sweater weather season and you don't just have to wear your sweater you can craft with it too. Those old sweaters that have been hanging out in the giveaway pile or in the back of your closet can be repurposed into three easy no-sew do it yourself projects with the help of Beacon Adhesive's Fabri-Tac. I took an old sweater that did not fit anymore and turned it into a throw pillow, scrunchie and coffee koozie!

Materials for Pillow:

Beacon Adhesives Fabri-Tac
Sweater
Scissors
Polyfill
Clothespins

Directions for Making the Pillow:

1. Cut two pieces for the sweater from the mid section.

2. Flip the fronts so they are facing together and glue all four sides together with Fabri-Tac leaving about 4-5 inches open.

3. Flip the sweater inside out and stuff with polyfil.

4. Flip the edges of the opening inward, glue with Fabri-Tac and secure with clothespins until they are dry.

TADA!!! Isn't this so cute!!

DIY Sweater Pillows

Materials for Scrunchie:

Beacon Adhesives Fabri-Tac
Sweater Sleeve or Scraps
Scissors
Elastic
Safety Pins

Directions for making the Scrunchie:

1. Cut a 12 inch by 4 inch piece of sweater. You can make it longer or thicker based on your preference.

2. Fold in half and glue together leaving the ends open.

3. Hook the safety pin on the elastic and to the end of the sweater. Close the safety pin and feed it through the folded sweater. Glue the elastic together with Fabri-Tac. Fold the ends of the sweater inward and tuck into each other and secure with Fabri-Tac. Use a clothespin to hold in place until the glue sets.

This is so cute wear in your hair or on your wrist as an accessory. Who knows I might go Kelly Kapowski style and use it to side tie my t-shirt :)
