I had a wonderful time at my friend's beautiful outdoor wedding over the weekend. The warm weather, bright floral dresses and all-you-can drink bar! I am completely obsessed with signature wedding cocktails. Southerns have a way with creating signature cocktails that keeps you coming back for more. Here are three easy southern wedding signature cocktails that will keep your guests refreshed and happy!
Grapefruit Basil Sparkler
Ingredients:
quarter grapefruit, cut the rinds off
three fresh basil leaves
chilled prosecco (I used La Marca Prosecco)
Muddle grapefruit and basil. Fill the glass with chilled prosecco. Garnish with a sliced grapefruit and fresh basil leaves.
Apple Ginger Vodka
Ingredients:
Green apple vodka (I used Smirnoff Green Apple Vodka)]
Thinly sliced Granny Smith apples
Ginger ale
Pour equal parts green apple vodka and ginger ale into a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour the cocktail into a martini glass and garnish with thinly sliced Granny Smith apples.
Gentlemen's Cognac
Ingredients
2 ounces fine cognac
ice
Maple Smoked Bacon
Dark brown sugar
kabob sticks
Weave the maple smoked bacon on the kabob sticks. Sprinkle dark brown sugar on both sides of the bacon. Cook it in the toaster oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Flip the bacon at 5 minutes.
Pour the cognac over ice and stick the bacon kabobs in the drink.
If you are planning your own wedding soon or helping a friend with her wedding, be sure to suggest these cocktail recipes. They are absolutely delicious and budget friendlier than an open bar for sure. The three southern-inspired signature cocktails are sure to fit anyone's taste. Cheers guys!
