Easy Pumpkin Decorating Ideas

by Lynn Lilly, Oct 15 2015

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays but I am the worst pumpkin carver, EVER!!! I know there are others out there just like me that want to creatively decorate and proudly display their pumpkins but just can't carve a darn pumpkin. I have created some fun and easy ideas that almost anyone (even kids) can create! Happy Creating! PS- Your neighbors will be jealous of these creative designs!

Use thumb tacks to create a design. They are easy to push into the pumpkin and remove if you mess up the design.

Wrap a small pumpkin in purple and orange tool and secure at the top with piece of ribbon or rick rack.

Give your small gourd a pin wheel look by painting every other section with outdoor porcelain paint.

Use painters tape to create a chevron pattern and spray paint the entire pumpkin gold. Wait about 30 minutes for the paint to dry and then remove the tape to reveal your perfect chevron design!

Use hot glue to secure ribbon to a pumpkin.

Take crayons and heat them up with a blow dryer and let them drip onto the pumpkin to create a colored wax design.

Stick adhesive letter stickers to a clean/dry pumpkin. Spray the pumpkin with spray paint. Let it dry for 30 minutes before removing the letters to reveal the perfect outline.

Happy Halloween!
