While browsing one of those websites that sells boho-chic decor (you know which ones I mean), I fell in love with their pom-pom trimmed curtains. They were fun in a subtle way. At about $80 for an 84" long panel, they were also insanely expensive. So I decided to make my own.
Each 84" panel was about $5 at Target. 10 yards of pom-pom trim were $39.70 at Joann Fabrics, but with a 50% off coupon, they came down to about $18! Not only was this DIY super easy, but also really cheap.
To make your own, you'll need:
- 2 sheer curtain panels
- Enough pom-pom trim to line both sides of each panel
- A glue gun and glue sticks, or fabric glue
Here's what you do:
1. Measure the length of trim you'll need for each side.
2. Cut to desired length.
3. Affix trim to each edge with glue. Glue as you go along, because the glue will dry quickly. You can use a dot of glue every one or two poms.
How easy was that?
