Tis the season to party! This weekend we had three parties in one day and I needed to bring sweet treats to two of them. I was frantically running around with no time to make something elaborate, so I grabbed a few ingredients that I had in my pantry and whipped up a sweet and salty treat that I dubbed Pretzel Bombs. These treats were a hit at both parties and people were begging me for the recipe.
- 2 Bags of Ghirardelli Chocolate Morsels (12 ounce bags)
- 1 Bag of Reeses Morsels (12 ounce bag)
- 2 1/2 Cups of Quaker Granola
- 3 Handfuls of Synders Dipping Stick Pretzels
- 1 Cup of Salted Peanuts
- Create a double boiler by using a pot and a heat safe bowl. Pour 2-3 cups of water in the pot, place the bowl on top of the pot. The bowl should cover the entire opening and the bottom should not touch the water.
- Pour the chocolate into the bowl and turn stove burner to low/medium heat.
- Stir chocolate occasionally until it is completely melted and smooth.
- While the chocolate is melting break pretzels in half. Place in a large bowl and add the granola and peanuts.
- Once chocolate is melted pour over the pretzels mixture. Stir to completely coat the ingredients with chocolate.
- After ingredients are coated add the Reeses morsels and stir.
- Place spoonfuls of the mixture directly on a greased baking sheet or in cupcake papers. Add sprinkles for decoration.
- Let harden uncovered for 2-3 hours or until chocolate is completely dry.
- If you are not serving them immediately I recommend covering with foil.
- Enjoy!
- If properly covered they will stay fresh for 5-6 days without refrigeration. If you cover and refrigerate them they will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks.
