Canvas Art for Kids
by Lynn Lilly, Jul 13 2015
We are halfway through Summer and the kids are probably getting restless. Keep them busy by channeling their artistic side with these two easy canvas art projects.
Abstract Canvas Art:
- Canvas
- Acrylic Paint
- Painters Tape
Use painter tape to create a pattern on the canvas. Press the painters tape down firmly. Use acrylic paint to fill in the blocks. Let the canvas dry for 1-2 hours before displaying your work of art.
Crayon Art:
- Crayons
- Canvas
- Hot Glue
- Blow Dryer
Secure crayons to the top of a canvas with the tips pointing down with hot glue. Hold the canvas upright.
Use a blowdryer on a low setting. Point the blow drying downward until the crayons start to drip. Slowly move the blow dryer across the canvas.
Blow dry until you get the desired designs. Let the canvas dry for 1-2 hours before displaying!
