Celebrate Summer with 4 Bourbon Inspired Recipes

We spent the afternoon eating, drinking, playing corn hole and even celebrating with our furry friends. Your Summer Celebration will be complete with these decor ideas and delicious bourbon inspired recipes!
Bourbon Lemonade
Ingredients:  4 cups of fresh lemonade, 4 ounces of J.R. Revelry Bourbon, 1 part Simple Syrup, Fresh Lemonade Slices
Bourbon Ganache Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwiches
  • Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • 12 ounce package of semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 3 tablespoons J.R. Revelry Bourbon
  • 3 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions: Melt chocolate and whipping cream in the microwave for 2.5 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Once melted whisk in bourbon, butter and vanilla. Cover and chill for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally until the mixture has thickened to a spreadable consistency. Spread on the bottom of a cookie and top with another cookie to create a delicious dessert sandwich. 
Chocolate Bourbon Dipped Bacon
  • 12 ounce package of semisweet chocolate chips
  • 10-12 pieces of cooked bacon
  • 1 ounce of J.R. Revelry Bourbon
Directions: Melt chocolate in the microwave for 2 minutes and then whisk in the bourbon. Dip each piece of bacon half way int the chocolate and place each piece on parchment paper to harden for 30 minutes. 
J.R. Revelry Bourbon Barbecue Sauce
  • 3/4 cup J.R. Revelry Bourbon
  • 1/2 onion minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 cups of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons of smoked chipotle grill seasoning
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  1. In a sauce pan over medium heat combine the onion, garlic and J.R. Revelry Bourbon and whisk. Simmer for 10 minutes. Mix in the black pepper, salt, ketchup, tomato paste, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and smoked chipotle grill seasoning, 
  2. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes. If you like a smooth sauce run it through a strainer.
