Sweet Treats for Kids Birthday Parties

by Lynn Lilly, May 20 2015

Planning your child's birthday can be time consuming and expensive. We want to help you keep the planning easy, fun and inexpensive! Check out a few sweet treats that can easily take the place of expensive cakes.

Candy Cake
Frozen Chocolate Covered Banana Pops: Cut 1 inch off your bananas, insert a popsicle stick into the cut end and freeze for 1 hour. Melt baking chocolate and dip your frozen bananas in the chocolate and sprinkle with sprinkles. Place on parchment paper to dry and put them back in the freezer until you are ready to serve.
Cupcake Push Pops
Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes: Place flat bottom cones in a cupcake pan. Fill 1/2 way with cupcake mix and bake as directed. Completely cool before decorating.
Brownie Sundaes: Fill mason jars with homemade brownies, ice cream and toppings.
DIY Cupcake Stand: Make your own stand by turning baking pans upside down, stacking and securing ribbon around them with glue dots.
Rice Krispies Cake
Happy Partying!
