Bourbon Ice Cream Float

by Laura Carrozza, Sep 26 2016

It's fall y'all! Time to pull out our cozy sweaters, leggings and watch some football! As much as I am excited for the autumn weather and festivities, I'm a bit sad to see the summer go. So to keep my love of warm weather lingering just a little longer, I added a little something to my favorite summer time treat that I know you will love and will keep your soul toasty warm from your head all the way down to your toes!

This is what you'll need:

  • Bourbon
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Cream soda
  • Cinnamon (optional)

Step One:

This is the most important step. First decide how large of a serving you want to treat yourself to... You can stick with a traditional short tumbler whiskey glass or if that whiskey has you feelin' frisky, go on with your bad self and grab that pint glass out of the cupboard!

Step Two:

Add your ice cream! For a short tumbler glass, add one scoop; for a pint glass, add two or three scoops. Next add your bourbon of choice. For a small glass, add one shot glass; for a larger glass, add two shot glasses. The bourbon looks pretty as it glazes over the vanilla ice cream. Remember: all bourbon is whiskey, but not all whiskey is bourbon. Lastly, fill the glass with cream soda. You may need to scoop some of the foam off the top with a spoon to add more soda. Feel free to sprinkle with cinnamon for an extra kick!

Enjoy! And go Big Blue!
