Back to School is here!! Don't let the thought of cinder block walls give you nightmares in your new dorm room. Yes, the room is super small, but you can still have plenty of living room if you get creative with storage and useful wall decor. Check out two of my favorite do it yourself dorm room decorations that will not only dress up your space but keep you organized!
Last week I shared these two dorm room DIYs on NBC's Atlanta & Company plus two others. Watch the segment below!
Clipboard Wall Organizer
Materials:
- Clipboards
- Decorative Paper
- Scissors
- Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
- Download 8 Printable College Clipboard Sheets for Free (plus a blank template)
Trace and cut out a triangle that covers the bottom right or left corner of the clipboard. Attach with Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive.
Wooden Crate Shelves
Wooden crates are available for $10 at your local craft store and are SUPER useful for extra drawer space, storage and even adding a little decorative flair to your dorm room! To get this look, paint the crates with white chalk paint and then wallpaper the bottom of the crate. A quick tip is to use peel and stick wall paper! You can also use peel and stick wallpaper on your cinder block dorm room walls because it is removable (you are welcome)!!! Stack your crates based on your preference or room set up. Think about storing items like books, clothes, cups, notebooks, etc.
Have fun Decorating Your Dorm Room!!!
