I’ve been seeing copper and the color green everywhere lately! Not to mention, greenery is the color of the year so what better application than something to showcase notes and pictures in your home. I created this display to act as a fun and functional way to interact with my husband because we love to write notes to one another. Feel free to put your own spin on this idea and tailor it to your specific family needs :-)What You’ll Need:
- 1 Copper Pipe
- Greenery of your choice
- Copper wire
- Wooden plaque
- Waverly Inspirations Chalk Paint - White and Moss
- Waverley Inspirations Base Coating Brush and Stencil Brush
- Stencils of your choice to fit plaque
- Wooden Clips
Step 1: First, start with your greenery and disassemble the branches so that you can position them accordingly along the copper pipe.
Step 2: Once you have everything in place, take the copper wire and wrap it around the greenery and pipe to secure the pieces together. Set aside.
Step 3: Take the wooden plaque and sand it down if needed and wipe away dust.
Step 4: Apply Waverly Inspirations Chalk White to the entire plaque. Let dry. You may need to apply two coats if you don’t want to see the wood grain show through.
Step 5: Next, stencil “Fun Times” on your plaque using the Waverly Inspirations Chalk Moss color. Let dry.
Step 6: Using the copper wire, attach the plaque to the copper/greenery pipe so that it hangs securely below.
Step 7: Finally, attach the twine to each end of the pipe giving ample slack to hang. Attach pictures and/or notes with wooden clips and enjoy!
I hope you enjoyed learning how to create this interactive display for your home! Feel free to share with a friend who wants to spice up their space!
