Nothing is more fun than crafting for Halloween! Take a non-traditional approach this year and adorn your entryway with custom treat bags to hang in a creepy tree. This idea is perfect for Halloween parties to display goodies and favors for the taking!
What you'll need:
- Martha Stewart Craft Multi-Surface Paint: Periwinkle, Metallic Silver, and Metallic Gunmetal
- Martha Stewart Stenciling and Patterning Tape
- Daubers
- Small Muslin Treat Bags
- Paper Towels
STEP 1: Tape of stripe designs on your muslin bags creating horizontal and diagonal patterns. Make sure the tape is adhered to the fabric before painting.
STEP 2: Paint colors of your choice in between the taped off areas. Immediately remove the tape, set aside, and let dry.
STEP 3: Using the daubers, create dots on the bags in assorted colors. Don’t be afraid to overlap. When using the daubers, make sure to press firmly onto the muslin fabric to create a perfect circle. Let dry and set aside.
STEP 4: Now that you have all your treat bags decorated, fill them with goodies, and hang them in a creepy tree arrangement for your guests to enjoy!
I hope you enjoyed learning how to make your own Halloween Treat Bags for your next event. Remember, you can always customize this idea to your home décor needs!
