Handmade for the holidays has taken on a whole new meaning this year. More than ever handmade is trending. Handmade doesn't just stop at gifts this year it goes all the way to the gift wrapping. I am continuing my partnership with Testors Craft and today I am showing you how easy it is to create your own wrapping paper for the holidays! This is such a fun project to do with your family or have a virtual paint part with friends!
- Testors Craft Acrylic Paint (Available online or in stores at Menards)
- Testors Paint Pens and Leafing Pens (Available online or in stores at Menards)
- White and Natural Craft Paper
- Paint Brushes
Before getting started measure the boxes you are going to wrap to ensure you have pieces of paper large enough to wrap each box or you can do one long sheet and use it all season.
Design 1: Imperfect Plaid Pattern
Using the Testors Paint Pens and Leafing Pens alternate drawing vertical and horizontal lines on the white craft paper. Vary the thickness of the lines and you can even add in a wavy line. I love this design because it dries instantly and you can wrap right away. It is a great last minute personal touch the perfect gift.
Design 2: Repeating Christmas Tree Pattern
Using the natural craft paper and Testors Acrylic Paint in Turquoise paint trees all over the paper. Add a trunk and ornaments. Use the white paint pen to add snow under the tree. Let the design fully dry before wrapping.
Design 3: Spatter Paint Pattern
Using the white craft paper pick your favorite colors of Testors Acrylic Paint. Using a brush dip it heavily in the paint and flick your wrist to splatter the paint on the paper. You can also use the bottle and squeeze the paint directly on the brush and spatter on to the paper. Alternate the colors until you are happy with your design. Let the design fully dry before wrapping.
Look at how fun these designs are when they are dry!
Don't forget to add a bow! I am so excited to give someone special these gifts!
Happy Holiday Crafting!
