It is never too early to start crafting for the holidays. Between cooking, shopping, holiday parties and spreading cheer the weeks after Thanksgiving go by in the blink of an eye. This year I am starting to make all my decor and handmade gifts early. Consumer Crafts is the perfect affordable online shopping destination to get all of your crafting supplies for the holidays. Reindeer CanvasI love this project because you can make it your own by creating a festive message.

Materials:

  • Burlap Canvas
  • Reindeer Stencil
  • White & Gold Spray Paint
  • Double Sided Tape
  • Cork Letters
  • Red Spectrum Aqua Marker
  • Mod Podge Clear Acrylic Sealer
  • Hot Glue Gun

*All products above can be purchased from Consumer Crafts

Instructions:

Cover a flat surface and spray paint the canvas gold in a well ventilated area and let dry for 10-15 minutes.

While the canvas is drying color your cork letters with the red Spectrum Aqua Marker and let them dry for 10 minutes.

Cut out your stencil. Cover the back of your paper stencil in double sided tape. Trim around the edges if there is excess tape. You can right click and save this stencil to your computer and print to use.

Firmly press stencil on the canvas. Make sure it is stuck to the canvas and all edges are secure.

Spray over the stencil and canvas with white spray paint. You will need to do 2-3 coats waiting 10 minutes between each coat.

Once the canvas is dry peal off the stencil to reveal your gold reindeer.Attach the cork letters to the canvas with hot glue.

Holiday Monogram Wreath

Materials:

  • Grapevine Wreath Form
  • Red Burlap Ribbon
  • Holiday Ribbon
  • Silver Deco Mesh or Tulle
  • Floral Wire
  • Wooden Letter
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Bowdabra Bow Maker
  • Bow Ribbon

Directions:

I started by making my bows for my wreath with the Bowdara. This is a genius tool for making all kinds of bows. I always feel like I need a third hand when making a bow and the Bowdabra is just that. It allows you to easily make perfectly shaped bows. When securing your bow with the bow ribbon make sure to leave excess ribbon. You will need this to secure the bow to the wreath. I made two bows out of red burlap ribbon and one from silver deco mesh.

I attached all three bows along one side of the grapevine using the excess bow ribbon.

Next I added in ribbon and other festive decor in between the bows.

In order to attach the wooden letter I flipped it over on the backside and attached a piece of floral wire with hot glue. You need to hold the wire in place until the glue drys. Twist the floral wire around the wreath to attach the wooden letter.

Enjoy these two easy festive crafts! Remember you can order all your supplies online from Consumer Crafts
