This is what you'll need:
- Silicone heart shape tray molds*
- Microwavable melting candy/chocolate*
- One large bag of M&M's
- Sprinkles
- Cellophane baggies
- Ribbon
- *Tray molds and melting chocolate purchased at Michael's
Step One:
Follow the directions on the back of the candy/chocolate bag to melt the chocolate into a liquid. While that is melting in the microwave, layer the heart molds with M&M's and sprinkles.
Step Two:
Once the candy/chocolate has melted into a smooth liquid consistency, pour it over the M&M's and sprinkles in the heart molds. It is up to you as to how much you want to pour into each mold. The more you pour in, the thicker your heart chocolate will be.
Step Three:
Allow the candy chocolate to sit and solidify in the molds. You can leave it out at room temperature, however, if you're in a rush and want it done ASAP, then I suggest placing the molds on a flat surface in the freezer for a few minutes.
Step Four:
Once your candy chocolates have hardened, flip the molds over and pop the sweet bites right out of the molds! Place them in cellophane baggies, then tie them up with a pretty gift tags and ribbon and you, my friend, have officially saved your kiddos Valentine's Day!
Enjoy! Xoxo Laura
