Happy Holidays friends! I'm sure you've already started decorating for Christmas and I can guess the kiddos have asked multiple times if they can help with creating your Winter Wonderland. This is a fun and easy craft that your little ones will love and will most definitely look adorable hung by the chimney with care.
What you'll need:
- Assorted colored felt (I used red, green and gray)
- Elmer's glue
- Light bulb stencil
- Markers
- Scissors
- Yarn
- Hot glue gun
Step One:
First you'll need to do an online search for a graphic of Christmas lights and print it out for your stencil. Before printing, adjust the size of the image in your printer settings to the size you would like for your banner.
Step Two:
Cut out your stencil and trace the shape on your felt as many times as you want or that will fit on your felt. After you finish cutting out your felt light bulb shapes, you will then cut out gray squares that will be the metal base of the light bulbs. You will secure those gray squares to the bottom of the felt light bulbs with Elmer's glue.
Step Three:
After the silver felt as dried on the bulbs, heat up your hot glue gun and secure the back of the bulbs to a long string of yarn to create your banner.
Step Four:
Hang your beautiful banner and enjoy with the kiddos!
