Let's kick off football season with something tasty! Hot wings have been my favorite game day snack for ages. I love my wings with a variety of flavors to please the toughest crowd. I'm always in the mood for something sweet, tangy and spicy. That is why my latest party bites are these ultra pleasing tamarind hot wings!

The next time you throw a game day get-together, add these delicious and addicting tamarind hot wings to your menu. The recipe is easier than you think and the taste is oh so satisfying!

Hot Wings with a twist

Ingredients for easy Tamarind Hot Wings

Tamarind Hot Wings

Ingredients:

12-15 wings

1 1/2 teaspoon salt

1 can of tamarind nectar

3 tablespoons brown sugar

2 teaspoons Habanero sauce

half a stick of butter

Direction:

Salt the wings in a zip-lock bag and refrigerate over night. Pat dry before deep frying the wings at 350 degrees oil for 7-10 minutes or until golden brown.

In a medium sauce pan melt the butter. Add brown sugar.  Stir the butter and brown sugar on medium low heat. Add tamarind nectar and whisk while the sauce simmers for 15-20 minutes. The tamarind sauce will reduce into a thick, tangy and sweet sauce. Add Habanera sauce to spice it up. Add more if you like your wings extra spicy.

When the wings are done frying, toss it into the tamarind hot sauce on medium low heat. Stir for 3 minutes. Plate the wings and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve while hot.
