This clever holiday hack will help you create the perfect greeting cards your family and friends will love! Not only is it super quick and easy, but it’s also way more affordable and personal than store bought cards!
What You’ll Need:
- Blank Paper Cards
- Martha Stewart Crafts Paint (assorted satin colors & glitter finishes)
- Lint Roller
- Felt
- Pencil
- Detailing Brush
- Sharpie
- Wax paper & Napkins
Step 1: Cut out trees (assorted sizes and shapes) from felt.
Step 2: Apply felt to lint roller. TIP: Depending on the felt, you might need a little more adhesive to help the tree stay in place. I recommend gorilla glue in case you have some pieces that are troublesome.
Step 3: Once you have all the trees secured to the lint roller, apply satin and glitter paint to a paper towel (with wax paper underneath to prevent paint bleed).
Step 4: Roll the lint roller into the paint until all the trees are covered.
TIP: If you want just the trees and no other paint rolled onto the card, apply the paint directly to the felt trees using a paint brush. I wanted a more organic, messy look so I rolled mine right into the paint.
Step 5: Roll onto the card and let the paint dry.
Step 6: Once all your cards are dry, go back and embellish using a pencil to dot ornaments where desired.
Step 7: Write your Holiday Greeting at the bottom and send to your special loved one!
TIP: Personalize or embellish the envelopes to match each card!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
