Cold and flu season is no fun when you are stuck with a cold or flu. Over time, all the meds can leave you lethargic and drained. Even with that, it takes about 7-10 days to get over the common cold. If there is coughing involved then that can take an extra week. Who has time for that?

I just got over a cold in just 4 days! I had all the symptoms of the common cold including congestion, sinus pressure, coughing, sneezing and sore throat. It could have turned bad but luckily I have 3 tea remedies that work. With the help of modern over-the-counter meds and these natural remedies, you can kick that cold, flu, cough or sore throat bye-bye in half the healing time! It worked for me so I'm sure it will work for you. Besides, the teas taste great!  What do you have to lose?

These are the key ingredients to keep handy this winter in case the symptoms of a cold sneaks up on you. Always have honey, lemon, ginger, sage and cinnamon stocked.

Here's why these ingredients work. Pure local honey is great to counter pollen allergies especially if the honey is harvested within 200 miles from where you live. Lemon promotes hydration and is packed with vitamin C. Ginger is an anti-inflammatory and boosts immunity.  Cinnamon is also an anti-inflammatory and a good source of antioxidants. Sage is a natural cough suppressant and promotes healing.
