The weather in Atlanta is a rollercoaster of emotions! Last month it was 80 degrees and then earlier this week it was 30 but we finally got a break from the cold spell for a mommy and me picnic with my sweet baby Lily, best friend Jen, and her girls! This is my third picnic for my picnicmaster challenge from Crunchmaster® . For this picnic, we kept it simple and hung out by Jen's pool and to just enjoy time together with the girls.
Throughout my journey to becoming a picnicmaster I realized the three most important things for hosting a good picnic:
- Nourishing foods are the key (Crunchmaster® is a perfect choice)
- Good company makes the picnic (friends and pups are the best)
- Keep the recipes and snacks simple (easy prep and clean up)
The menu for this picnic was so simple but so good!
Homemade Granola:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup of crushed Crunchmaster® Original Crackers
- 3/4 cup of marshmallows
- 2/3 cup of dark chocolate chips
- 2/3 cup of dried cranberries
- 5 tbsp of organic honey
- 1.5 ounces of Sunbutter (great for kids that have peanut allergies)
Directions:
Combine ingredients in a bowl until thoroughly sticky. Spread on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Spread it, but keep it semi-packed together. Toast in the oven at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until lightly toasted. Let it cool then cut or break apart.
Dips accompanied with Crunchmaster® Crakers in Buttermilk Ranch & Dill, White Cheddar and Roasted Veggie:
- Roasted Pepper Hummus
- Garlic Hummus
- Spicy Guacamole
Strawberry Yogurt Dip with Crunchmaster® Original Crackers & Strawberries:
Mix non-fat yogurt and a strawberry lemonade Crystal Lite single serving packet together. Serve with fruit and crackers!
Sunbutter Sandwiches:
I love Sunbutter as a great alternative to peanut butter since so many kids have peanut allergies. I served a dollop of Sunbutter between two Crunchmaster® Sea Salt Crackers and it was a great snack for Jen's daughter Sophia who was is 2.
Today was so much fun! I cherish the moments and memories I am making with my daughter and my best friend! I can't believe Lily is already four months old! Every day I just can't believe how lucky I am to be her mom!
I hope you enjoyed my journey to becoming a picnicmaster as much as I have! If you missed my previous picnics check out the Spring Picnic and Winter Picnic posts! I'm so thankful for this challenge from Crunchmaster®! I will definitely be a picnicker for life!

In full disclosure, this post is part of a paid campaign for Crunchmaster® but all ideas, recipes are my own. I have been a long time Crunchmaster eater and love these crackers even before I started working with them!
