Boozy Gingerbread House Cocktail Party

by Allison Cawley Veyda, Dec 22 2015

One of the best things about the holidays is that there’s no shortage of festive activities to do and parties to attend.   From ice skating and caroling to holiday dinners and visiting family, it’s always a little more fun to add a special touch to each event that makes it your own.  That’s where mü comes into play.  An easy and fun holiday past-time of decorating a gingerbread house can easily transition from one of childhood traditions into a fun yet sophisticated party with a few friends and mü.

Gather your typical supplies for decorating a gingerbread house… gumdrops, candy canes, frosting, coconut flakes, sprinkles, and other candies and invite the friends over! Depending on how ambitious you are, you could bake your own gingerbread pieces, or there are many preassembled kits that you can find at a local grocery store around the holidays.

I personally recommend going with a kit so you can spend your time whipping up your own mü Creamy Vanilla Latte frosting. I have created an easy step by step recipe for you to follow:

Ingredients:

  • 2 pound bag of powdered sugar
  • 1 cup of softened butter
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 5 tablespoons of mü Creamy Vanilla Latte
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla bean paste
  • 1/8 tablespoon salt

Beat softened butter at medium speed until creamy. Gradually add in sugar, milk and mü blending at low speed in between adding ingredients. Stir in vanilla and salt until you have a smooth consistency. This is not only perfect to hold your gingerbread house together but to decorate cookies and cupcakes!

Now that you have all of your gingerbread house decorations and the perfect mü Creamy Vanilla Latte frosting you’re almost ready to begin!  Since we’re going for an “adult” spin on this holiday tradition, it wouldn’t be complete without mü cocktail to inspire our decorating skills.

A tasty cocktail that complements gingerbread is the mü Chocolate Java Jingle.  With hints of cinnamon and brown sugar colliding with chocolate chai and coffee, you’ll love this new holiday tradition.

Ingredients:

  • 1 part mü Creamy Chocolate Chai
  • 2.5 parts Coffee
  • 1 teaspoon of brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of cream
  • Whipped Cream
  • Cinnamon
  • Gingersnap Crumbs

In a small glass, drop 1 teaspoon of brown sugar and top with coffee.   Mix until the sugar has dissolved.  Add in the mü Creamy Chocolate Chai and cream then mix together.  Top with Whipped Cream and lightly sprinkle a hint of cinnamon and gingersnap crumbs on top.  Serve warm or over ice and you’ve got the perfect cocktail to serve while everyone is having fun decorating and snacking on their gingerbread houses.

And while Santa might not be ready for gingersnaps and a mü Chocolate Java Jingle, pairing cookies and mü nips as stocking stuffers is a great alternative too!   Try changing it up with all the mü flavors to find your favorite flavor combination.  With flavors like Creamy Vanilla Latte, Creamy Coco Cappuccino, Dreamy Espresso Macchiato, and of course Creamy Chocolate Chai… there’s a little something for every taste bud!
