Cricut never ceases to amaze me with their innovation and creativity! This year has been an explosive year of new product launches with the release of Infusible Ink and the EasyPress Mini and now a brand adaptive toolset for the Cricut Maker. The adaptive toolset includes Basic Perforation Blade, Wavy Blade, Fine Debossing Tip and the Engraving Tip.
When Cricut launched Maker 2 years ago, it made a promise to come out with more tools and materials, so that Maker could grow with creators as they master new crafts. These tools are possible, and can be used only with Maker, because it was specially designed with an Adaptive Tool System. This system brings together three major technologies that give the Maker professional class cutting versatility and performance. The Maker delivers 10x or more cutting force than the Explore machines, uses a sophisticated steering system to actively control the blade, and it tests to make sure you are using the correct blade for cutting and if you have the wrong blade it prompts you to change it! The Maker is so SMART!
Each tool will take your crafting to a new level! Cricut sent us the tools to try out so I am excited to show you what each tool does!
1. Basic Perforation Blade
The Basic Perforation Blade creates a uniform, finely perforated lines for any design. It creates evenly spaced perforation lines to allow for clean, well-spaced tearing without the need to fold beforehand. This can work great for tear-out booklet pages, raffle tickets, journals or kids crafts. Think about making a paper doll book for your little girl!
2. Wavy Blade
The wavy blade is exactly like it sounds. It will give your projects the perfect wavy edge. This blade works great for creating wavy finishes on vinyl decals, iron-on, envelopes, cards, gift tags, fabric or home decor.
3. Fine Debossing Tip
Debossing is the process of creating a design that is sunken into the surface of a material. The Fine Debossing Tip allows you to create professional polished projects. The rolling debossing ball allows for a wider range of motion than standard debossing folders. You can deboss on a wide range of materials including paper, shimmer and cardstock, basswood, foil paper so much more! We embossed a pineapple in minutes! I cannot wait to use this tool to make my holiday cards!
4. Engraving Tip
The engraving tip is the next level! You can engrave your favorite sayings, monograms designs into metal blanks, Cricut Metal Sheets or anodized aluminum to reveal a great design. I made this ornament in minutes with a design I create din design space!
Which tool is your favorite? I think my favorite is the debossing tool. My holiday cards are going to be AMAZING this year!!
